Junior Estimator

Key Roles:

Provide cost estimates based on drawing and specifications
Implement the task schedule, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones
Collaborate with the Senior Estimator to gather essential project information, including blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
Input and organize data for efficient analysis and reporting.
Compile tender packages and facilitate their distribution to trade partners and suppliers, ensuring all necessary documentation is included, such as Bid Bonding Insurance
Support in the preparations of packages for other departments, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to schedule trade appointments and deliveries optimizing project timelines.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of project contracts, change orders, and related correspondence.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of estimating processes and procedures.
Collaborate with Safety and Field Personnel where required.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in the construction industry, preferably in demolition, with exposure to estimating processes and procedures an asset.
Understanding of construction materials, methods, and trade practices
Proficiency in using estimating software and tools, excel.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, and task prioritization skills required.
Knowledgeable in contract administration, and scheduling is an asset
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster positive relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers
