– Provide cost estimates based on drawings and specifications
– Implement the task schedule, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones
– Gather essential project information including blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documentation
– Input and organize data for efficient analysis and reporting
– Compile tender packages and facilitate their distribution to trade partners and suppliers, ensuring all necessary documentation is included, such as Bid Bonding Insurance
– Support in the preparations of packages for other departments, ensuring all necessary documentation is included
– Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to schedule trade appointments and deliveries optimizing project timelines
– Maintain comprehensive documentation of project contracts, change orders, and related correspondence
– Contribute to the ongoing improvement of estimating processes and procedures
– Collaborate with Safety and Field Personnel where required
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in the construction industry, preferably in demolition, with exposure to estimating processes and procedures an asset
– Well established understanding of construction materials, methods, and trade practices
– Proficiency in using estimating software and tools, excel
– Excellent organizational and time management skills, and task prioritization skills required
– Knowledge of contract administration and scheduling is an asset
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
– Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster positive relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliersStarting rate to be determined by level of experience.
