About the Role

Starfish Demolition is seeking a detail-oriented Administrator to join our team in Halifax. While previous experience in the demolition or construction industry is preferred, we are looking for someone with a positive attitude who can manage the administrative side of our safety and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Office Management: Assist with all aspects of office organization (“housekeeping”), filing systems, and data entry.

  • Safety Compliance: Track and file crew training certifications (including Abatement, Lead Awareness, and Remediation certificates) to ensure all personnel documents are up to date.

  • Operational Support: act as a liaison between management and the field crew, supporting job site logistics.

  • General Duties: Perform other administrative duties as assigned by management to support the daily workflow.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Previous administrative experience is required. 1 year of experience in a Demolition or Construction environment is preferred.

  • Attitude: A positive attitude and high attention to detail are a must.

  • Language: English is required. French is not required.

  • Licensing: Class 5 Driver’s License is preferred.

  • Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety procedures, policies, or construction PPE is an asset.

Schedule

  • Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Aligned with crew hours).

  • Flexibility: Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends based on customer requirements and project deadlines.
