Southwest Properties – 1027 – 1037 Lucknow – Abatement & Demolition

Project Description

Lucknow Abatement & Demolition: This project required a seamless transition from environmental remediation to heavy civil demolition.

The Lucknow project was executed as a comprehensive, dual-phase operation encompassing full-scale hazardous materials abatement followed by total structural demolition. Our team first mobilized to address critical environmental concerns, strictly adhering to safety and regulatory standards to manage the remediation process. This involved the construction of secure containment zones and the use of negative air pressure systems to safely isolate and remove all designated substances.

Once the building was successfully abated and cleared, the project transitioned to mechanical demolition. We performed a complete tear-down of the structure, managing the logistics of heavy equipment operation within the site boundaries. Throughout both phases, our focus remained on environmental stewardship, ensuring precise waste segregation, proper disposal of hazardous materials, and the final clearing of the site to leave a safe, grade-level footprint.

Key operational phases included:

  • Phase 1: Comprehensive Abatement:

    • Execution of a detailed hazardous materials survey and removal plan.

    • Implementation of high-level containment protocols to prevent cross-contamination during the removal of designated substances.

    • Strict adherence to provincial safety regulations regarding the handling and transport of abatement waste.

  • Phase 2: Structural Demolition:

    • Full mechanical teardown of the superstructure following clearance testing.

    • Controlled collapse and sorting of building materials (concrete, steel, wood) to maximize diversion from landfills.

  • Safety & Compliance:

    • The project was completed with zero safety incidents, utilizing rigid site security, dust control measures, and authorized disposal tracking for all waste streams.
